The first record of the genus Phycopeltis (Trentepohliaceae, Chlorophyta) from Cat Tien National Park (Vietnam)

Kulikovskiy1 1Timiryazev Institute of Plant Physiology RAS (Moscow, Russia) The genus Phycopeltis comprises filamentous to pseudoparenchymatous green algae which grow on the leaves, stems and fruits of higher plants. The genus occurs mainly in tropical and subtropical areas. Up to now Phycopeltis has not been recorded from Vietnam. During the phycological investigations in Cat Tien National Park we recorded the species of Phycopeltis growing on leaves of different higher plants. Key words: Cat Tien; Vietnam; Phycopeltis
